Thanks for reading! That’s a great suggestion. Depending on the week, my motivation can certainly wane on Mondays. I might consider scheduling meetings on Monday mornings to get me back into the flow of things and then try to hunker down on Monday afternoons. But if there’s anything urgent that I need to tend to, it’s nice to know that I’m free to address them on Monday (I practice employment law so things vary).
I definitely believe in planning things in accordance with your energy levels. I don’t work well at night, so I tend to leave phone calls and e-mails to the afternoon and focus on research, reviewing evidence, and writing submissions in the morning. I also try to not drink more than 2 cups of coffee a day, but if work is a dumpster fire sometimes I have no choice but to plow through it!
